We Help Hotels was founded in Copenhagen by Jens Mathiasen, bringing together more than 25 years of experience across hospitality, hotel development, guest experience and sustainable design.
Jens began his career in the hotel and travel industry and has since worked across many sides of hospitality – from hotel operations and guest experience to hotel interiors, technology and the development of physical spaces. His experience includes working at Club La Santa, Pascha Bay Hotel, Nordotel Sa, Scandic and Comwell Hotels, Voglauer Hotel Concept on international hotel interior projects and with Locatel Hospitality on digital guest communication and in-room technology.
In 2009, he founded 2RETHINK, challenging the traditional furniture and interiors industry with a more sustainable approach to sourcing, reuse and the way existing resources are valued. Over the years, this has evolved into projects spanning furniture, interiors, acoustics, outdoor spaces and the transformation of underused areas.
We Help Hotels grew naturally from that experience.
Rather than looking at a hotel through one particular lens – design, operations, technology or sustainability – we look at the whole place. We help with problems hotels already know they have, while also looking for opportunities and potential that may have been overlooked.
Sometimes the challenge is clear: finding the right supplier or solution, improving a space or solving a practical guest experience issue. Other times, it takes a fresh pair of eyes to see what could work better or create more value.
Today, we work with hotels, resorts and destinations to solve problems, unlock potential and turn the right ideas into practical, visible improvements.

Jens Mathiasen aged 52, based in Copenhagen where he lives with his two children and the dog Eddie. Jens is a keen golf, tennis and padel player and loves skiing in the Winters.
